The key2heaven originally is a medieval town seal, which the free hanseatic City of Bremen in the north of Germany has got by the Vatican of Rome 700 years ago in the 14th century. On it one sees Saint Peter, who is also a patron saint of the Bremen cathedral, on a throne and under his feet a coat of arms sign with a Gothic key. In addition there is the old Bible verse »I want to give you the key to the kingdom of heaven« (Matthew 16, verse 19). Today it is still the emblem of the City of Bremen.
